The funeral service for Nettie Jones Lamb, 91, is scheduled for Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. at McPeters Funeral Directors Chapel with burial to follow in the Henry Cemetery.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 12 noon until service time at 1:00 p.m.
Mrs. Lamb died on December 30, 2018 at the Magnolia Regional Health Center. She was born in Webster County, MS to the late Loyd and Lizzie Bell Sutton Jones.
She graduated from Corinth High School in 1946 and was elected to Miss CHS by her peers. She retired from the Alcorn County Tax Collectors office after 20 plus years. She was a member of First Baptist Church and enjoyed being with her family especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by her children, Donna Underwood (Steve) of Dunnellon, FL, Nickey Lewis Lamb of Rossville, TN and Jackie Whitefield (Mike) of Bartlett, TN; grandchildren, Billy Anderson (Devon), Chris Lamb (Connie) and Justin Lamb, (Katie); great-grandchildren, Rex Anderson, Dash Anderson, Wyatt Anderson, Gracie Lamb, Addison Lamb, Justin Lamb, Jr., Cash Lamb and a host of other family and friends.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Lamb; sisters, Bonnie Dunne and Polly Dickerson. Pallbearers will be Billy Anderson, Chris Lamb, Justin Lamb, Justin Lamb, Jr., Pat Dunne, Clinton Pettiet and Jerry Boucher. Bro. Dennis Smith will officiate the service.
