Alcorn County Sheriff Ben Caldwell has released the names of the two people who were found dead after a shooting incident was reported Sunday night.
Caldwell said Phillip L. Alfred, 44, and Tanya Machado Alfred, 37, both of 11 County Road 268, were found deceased after an apparent domestic situation Sunday in Alcorn County.
It appears the male and female both died from gunshot wounds, a sheriff’s office news release said.
Alcorn County deputies responded to 11 County Road 268 to a call of a shooting at about 8 p.m. Sunday. Deputies arrived on scene and discovered the female and male deceased, the news release added.
