A Corinth native who owned and operated restaurants in Tupelo and Oxford the past 20 years is excited to return home and open a barbecue restaurant in downtown Corinth.

Buck’s BBQ & Burgers is expected to open in about a month at 112 N. Fillmore St., said owner Buck Walden.
He owned the Rib Cage in Tupelo from 1997-2006 and the Rib Cage in Oxford from 2003-2017.
Buck’s BBQ & Burgers will be located in the thriving SoCo District in downtown Corinth. The area has seen major revitalization in recent years with boutiques, a coffee shop, a salon and upscale apartments with balconies.
Walden said it is exciting to be part of the growth downtown Corinth is experiencing. He has already heard a tremendous amount of positive feedback from people familiar with his prior restaurants in Tupelo and Oxford. It has been humbling to have such positive feedback, said Walden, a Corinth High School graduate.
Buck’s BBQ & Burgers will occupy two sections of the building. One side will be the restaurant, and the other side will be a full bar.
Walden has always wanted to open a restaurant in Corinth and thinks it will be a nice addition to downtown. He is already very familiar with the downtown Corinth dining scene and has been helping out at smith. since returning home.
