Funeral services for Joann Huggins Joyce, 81, will take place at 2:00 p.m. Sunday at Memorial Funeral Home with James Eley officiating. Burial will follow in Forrest Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until service time at Memorial Funeral Home.
Mrs. Joyce died on Friday December 8, 2017 at Whitfield Nursing Home. She was born on April 30, 1936 to the late Clayton and Gertrude Huggins. She was a graduate of Ramer High School. She was a member of First United Methodist Church and was an avid golfer, bowler, and gardener.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Benton Joyce, Sr.; sisters, Gretchen Huggins Hinton, Zelphie Huggins Phillips, Doris Huggins Bowza and a brother, Cayce Huggins.
Mrs. Joyce is survived by her daughter, Cathy Boles (Dr. David Boles, Sr.) of Clarksville, TN; son, Arthur Benton Joyce, Jr. of Corinth; grandchildren, Erin Joyce, Ben Joyce, David “Duke” Boles, Jr. (Amanda), Katie Boles Murphy (Nate), Daniel Boles (Ally), Courtney Boles; 8-great-grandchildren; niece who was like a sister, Peggy Hinton Taylor and a host of other family and friends.
