The Corinth Fire Department is holding its second annual Stuff a Fire Truck Toy Drive in front of Walmart this weekend.

The fire department will be in front of Walmart Saturday from 3-9 p.m. and on Sunday from noon to 6 p.m.

Toys will go to local kids who are in emergency placement situations through child protection services, said fire department Training Officer Jerry Whirley.

Last year, several thousand dollars worth of donations for some 150 children, some of them babies, were collected, Whirley said. Diapers, baby wipes and cash donations can also be made.

The Stuff a Fire Truck event is also collecting new children’s coats for the Junior Auxiliary’s coat drive.
