Funeral service for William “Bill” Counce, 78, is set for 1:00 p.m. Sunday at McPeters Inc. Funeral Directors with Bro. Dennis Smith officiating. Burial with Military Honors will follow in Henry Cemetery.
Bill died November 15, 2017 at Magnolia Regional Health Center. He was born September 6, 1939 in Corinth, MS. to the late W. E. and Lois Counce. He was a 1958 graduate of Corinth High School and served in the US Air Force. He retired after 30 years from Exxon USA in the Marketing Dept. After retirement he and his family moved back to Corinth, over the years he enjoyed collecting, was self-taught on computers and many other things. He was a loving, caring husband, father and grandfather, who enjoyed spending and doing things with his family.
He was preceded in death by his son, Brad Counce; parents; brother Buddy Counce; sister Barbara Roberson; niece Terri Jenkins.
He is survived by his wife Jo Counce of Corinth, MS; son, Christopher (Nikki) Counce of Tampa, FL.; daughters, Angela Cox of Houston, TX., Caryn Jackson of Corinth, MS.; brother, Bob (Betty) Counce of Peoria, IL.; special friend, Jerry (Margie) Rogers; grandchildren, Bill Ray Jackson, Nicky Jackson, Kayla Cox, Kevin Cox, Ch’e Counce, Devin Counce.
Pallbearers Todd Roberson, Brandon Roberson, Austin Roberson, Parker Roberson, Paul Jenkins, Tate Lancaster.
Family will receive friends Saturday from 5:00 to 8:00 and Sunday from 12:00 to service time.
