High School Basketball Roundup for Kossuth, Biggersville, Alcorn Central

There has been lots of basketball action for local high schools this week.

Here is a breakdown of results and upcoming games:

Boys Basketball

The Alcorn Central Bears (12-12) beat the Kossuth Aggies (12-13) in a conference game 66-65 at Kossuth on Monday.

Alcorn Central’s next game is Thursday at Smithville (15-10).

Kossuth’s next game is Friday at home versus Adamsville, Tenn. (7-7).

On Tuesday, the Biggersville Lions boys team (12-11) lost 62-56 to the Myrtle Hawks (20-8) at Myrtle.

Biggersville’s next game is Thursday at Tishimingo County (8-17).

Girls Basketball

The Alcorn Central lady Bears beat the Kossuth Aggies 63-40 at Kossuth on Monday.

Alcorn Central (17-9) plays at Smithville (4-17) on Thursday.

Kossuth plays Adamsville, Tenn. (6-5) at home Thursday.

The Alcorn Central girls also beat New Albany 62-31 at New Albany (6-19) on Tuesday.

The Biggersville lady Lions (15-8) beat Myrlte 55-53 on Tuesday at Myrtle (13-10).

The Lions’ next game is at Tishimingo County (5-20) on Thursday.

The Kossuth lady Aggies (10-16) fell 66-57 to Lafayette (17-6) on Tuesday.

The Aggies’ next game is at home versus Adamasville, Tenn. (6-5) on Thursday.
