Last year in Alcorn County, 172 homes sold, and the average selling price was $138,870, according to figures provided to Corinth Today.
The average number of days houses were on the market was 164 in 2015. The number of homes sold in 2015 was up slightly from 2014 when 165 homes sold in the county, the figures show.
These figures are from the Multiple Listing Service and do not include for-sale-by-owner properties, according to Larry Landry with the Four County Board of Realtors.
The average selling price was also up in 2015, and the days on the market were down last year compared to 2014.
The number of homes sold in 2015 was also higher than 2013 when 154 homes sold, according to the figures.
People need to keep in mind that the Four County Board of Realtor’s is not just Corinth or Alcorn County Realtors but is comprised of Four Counties, Alcorn, Tishmingo, Tippah and Prentis. We all pay all the dues and participate in all educations and the Multiple Listing Service.
