A 43-year-old Corinth woman died this morning after being shot multiple times, according to Alcorn County Coroner Jay Jones.

The victim, whose name has not been released, was taken by ambulance to Magnolia Regional Health Center “where she was pronounced dead this morning” a little after 6:30 in the ER, Jones told Corinth Today.

The woman’s body will be taken to the crime lab in Jackson for an autopsy, Jones added.

The two suspects were still being sought, Jones noted.

Jones said officials were still trying to reach next of kin before releasing the woman’s name. The victim’s mom lives in Henderson County, Tenn., and the victim’s two daughters live in the Lee County area. The woman lived in Corinth.
