One driver was taken into custody and another transported to the hospital after a collision on Shiloh Road on Thursday afternoon, Corinth Police say.
It appears the driver of a truck swerved into the other lane and apparently hit an SUV head-on, causing both vehicles to go off the roadway “from what we gathered from the witness statement,” said Lt. Matt Wood with the Corinth Police Department.
The driver of the truck, 25-year-old Jonathan Lambert of Corinth, was taken into custody for allegedly driving on a suspended license, police say.
The female driver of the SUV was transported to the hospital and was responsive when she was being put into the ambulance, Wood said.
The drivers were in their vehicles alone and were apparently boyfriend and girlfriend, he said.
“I don’t know if that has something to do with it or not,” Wood said. “That’s why we called the investigator on the scene.”
The driver of the green truck is “going to have a hold for investigation at this time until the investigator can talk to him,” Wood noted.
Wood believes they are both Corinth residents.
