A 23-year-old Corinth man has been charged with felony drive-by shooting, according to police.

Dezmon Keith allegedly shot his estranged wife’s vehicle with a handgun while she was in the vehicle, Corinth Police Detective Dell Green said.

The alleged incident happened last Thursday Jan. 21 in the parking lot in front of the Verizon store near Virginia Lane around 6:15 p.m., Green said.

The woman said her estranged husband fired two shots, and one of the bullets allegedly hit the front fender on the driver’s side, Green added.

They were both in their vehicles alone, police say.

The alleged shooter fled the scene, and Keith turned himself into Corinth Police on Sunday, Green said.

“There was a warrant issued for his arrest, and he was aware of it,” Green said. “We had contacted family members and friends and had attempted to locate him, and he understood that and therefore he turned himself in.”

No one was hurt in the incident, Green noted.

“I’m glad we could resolve it in a peaceful manner as far as him turning himself in,” Green said.

The alleged incident was possibly brought on by a disagreement that escalated, he said.

Keith has since bonded out on a $50,000 bond, Green added.
