Corinth Double-Shooting Suspect Indicted

Suspect Extradited to Corinth From Wisconsin

A Corinth man has been indicted on several felony charges, including three counts of aggravated assault, shooting into a dwelling and felon in possession of a firearm, court records show.

Jamar Allen, 32, of Tate Street, was recently extradited from Wisconsin and booked into the Alcorn County Jail.

Count 1 of a four-count indictment alleges that Allen shot a female on Feb. 13, 2017, and Count II alleges that he shot a male on the same day with a .9-millimeter firearm.

In relation to the same incident, Allen is also charged with shooting into an occupied dwelling on Mitchell Street in Corinth.

Additionally, he was indicted on the charge of felon in possession of a firearm. The indictment alleges that Allen was previously convicted of the felony charge of theft from person in Racine County, Wisc in 2009.

In a separate Alcorn County indictment, Allen is charged with another count of aggravated assault for allegedly hitting a male in the head with a pistol Dec. 20, 2016, the court records show.
