A community baby shower recently held at Shiloh Apothecary in Corinth was a great success, said Stephanie Mathis, who owns the pharmacy with her husband, Raymond.
“We had a crowd in here,” said Stephanie.
The Aug. 25 event showcased Shiloh Apothecary’s unique baby department, Shiloh Baby. It has many products to help mom and baby before, during and after pregnancy.
Attendees were surprised to see how many different types of items the baby department offers, Stephanie added. Others said Shiloh Apothecary has breastfeeding supplies that previously had to be purchased by traveling outside the area or ordering online.
A lactation consultant from the hospital answered many questions about breastfeeding.
“We got to meet a lot of expectant mothers, and we’re excited for them,” said Stephanie, a mother of two.
A drawing was held for a $20 gift certificate, door prizes were awarded and delicious refreshments were served inside the pharmacy, which was adorned with blue and pink balloons. Baxter and Co. of Corinth helped with the door prizes.
And about 30 free “swag bags” containing coupons and samples were given away. Shiloh Apothecary enjoys the opportunity to engage the community and looks forward to hosting other events.
Shiloh Apothecary is located at the intersection of East Shiloh Road and North Harper Road.
It is open Monday-Friday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and can be reached at . Visit their website by clicking here.
