An 18-year-old Pocahontas, Tenn. man was arrested Saturday and has been charged with aggravated sexual battery and solicitation of a minor, according to the McNairy County Sheriff’s Office.
The suspect, Charlie Sorrell, is accused of having inappropriate contact with a 10-year-old girl he met on Snapchat.
The incident was reported to the McNairy County Sheriff’s Office early Saturday.
The girl told Sorrell she was 14, and he allegedly said he was 16, when in fact he is 18, according to the sheriff’s office incident report.
They arranged a meeting, he picked her up at her house and they went for a ride, the report adds.
They reportedly parked at an unknown location where he allegedly touched her in an inappropriate manner “but did not penetrate her,” the report says.
Sorrell was arrested Saturday and remains in the McNairy County Jail on a $75,000 bond.
