A new business in downtown Corinth offers specialty teas and shakes.
Crossroads Nutrition at the corner of Wick and Fillmore streets has about 20 flavors of meal-replacement shakes. The business, which opened last week at the bustling downtown corner, also has many flavors of sugar-free caffeinated teas.
The energy-boosting, 24-calorie teas can come loaded with caffeine or made with less depending on what the customer wants.
“Everyone seems to like them so far,” said Katie Webb, who owns the business with her husband, Josh.
The meal-replacement shakes can serve as a full meal since they come with the needed amount of protein and range from 200 to 250 calories each. They are especially popular for breakfast and lunch, said Josh.
New teas and shakes are added about weekly, and there are also specialty flavors of the week with different themes. For instance, this week Crossroads Nutrition is offering a Green Jacket Tea and a Georgia Peach Shake to go along with the theme of the Masters golf tournament.
Katie and Josh love the downtown location in the SoCo district because there is always something happening in the area.
“All these business owners are real close” and do “a lot to help each other out,” said Josh.
Corinth is doing a great job bringing many family-friendly activities to the downtown, Josh added.
They feel very good about how things have been going with the new business, and Katie said they have been “super busy.”
Some customers get a tea and shake combo, and the tea gives them an afternoon pickup without the sugar.
“Corinth needed something like this,” said Josh. Katie agreed that it adds to the selection of Corinth’s great dining choices. Crossroads Nutrition’s menu offers many quick, healthy and filling options, she added.
