Main Street Corinth will hold the St. Patrick’s Downtown Throwdown this Saturday
The event will feature a cornhole tournament, all-you-can-eat crawfish, bouncy houses, face painting and a DJ.
It will take place in the clock tower parking lot at the corner of Fillmore and Cruise streets. Beer and soft drinks will be sold as well.
The cornhole tournament teams will have two members each. Last year, 32 teams competed, said Main Street Corinth Director Angela Avent.
Registration for the cornhole tournament starts at 10 a.m., and the competition starts at 11 a.m.
Each member of the first place team will get a $50 gift certificate to a downtown restaurant of their choice. Second place team members will each get a $25 gift certificate.
There will also be a $40 prize for the best-dressed team as attendees are encouraged to dress up for St. Patrick’s Day.
All-you-can-eat crawfish plates are $20, and registration for the cornhole tournament is $20. The bouncy houses and face painting are free.
Avent said last year’s event was a really fun day, and she encourages people to come downtown and enjoy local shops and restaurants.
The event will wrap up around 4 p.m. when the cornhole tournament ends.
