Alcorn Sheriff’s Office Makes Drug Arrests

Three Corinth residents were arrested early Thursday and charged with felony possession of a controlled substance, Alcorn County Sheriff Ben Caldwell said.

The suspects — Justin Wade Mills, 28; Kimberly Dawn Luker, 24; and Joseph Lynn Bowden, 32 — were arrested after a traffic stop at the U.S. Highway 45 and Harper Road exit at about 3 a.m., according to a sheriff’s office news release.

Mills was the driver of the vehicle, which was stopped by Deputy Chris Settlemires for improper equipment.

Consent to search the vehicle was granted by Mills, who said there was a small amount of marijuana in the vehicle, the news release says. Deputy Settlemires discovered a small amount of marijuana and approximately 1 gram of methamphetamine, the release adds.

All three occupants were taken into custody and transported to the Alcorn County Jail.

Got pulled over once under the pretense; it was because I had a dealership tag border around my car tag. 🤨🤨🤨
