Man Indicted in Alleged Pocket Knife Assault, Kidnapping Case

A 27 year-old man accused of an alleged aggravated assault with a pocket knife in Alcorn County in 2016 was picked up in Southaven on Thursday.

The suspect, Jerry Lee Clark III, was brought back to Alcorn County and booked into the local jail for the indictment, which alleges charges of kidnapping and aggravated assault.

The indictment alleges that Clark caused or attempted to cause bodily injury to a female with a pocket knife by cutting her arm and neck.

The alleged incident occurred July 29, 2016.

Count II of the indictment alleges that Clark kidnapped or forcibly seized and confined or inveigled the alleged victim with the intent to cause her to be “confined or imprisoned against her will.”
