Vehicle Was Allegedly Spray Painted Gold After ‘Test’ Drive

Gibens

A Corinth man was arrested on an embezzlement warrant this month, according to police.

The suspect, Joshua Gibens, 40, allegedly test drove a vehicle from a local auto sales business and did not return it, according to Corinth Police Detective Capt. Dell Green.

The auto dealer reported the case to Corinth Police last month and said Gibens asked about test driving a red pickup truck and did not bring it back.

The vehicle was located at a local apartment complex a few days later, and it had been spray painted gold, Green added.

An embezzlement warrant was issued for Gibens, and he was arrested this month after police saw him at a local department store.

He was still in jail Monday on a $10,000 bond.
