A 29-year-old Corinth man has been charged with sexual battery for allegedly having illegal intimate contact with a female child under 14 years old, according to the Alcorn County Sheriff’s Office.
The suspect, Justin Huffman, of County Road 100, remains in Alcorn County Jail with a $10,000 bond, according to Sheriff Ben Caldwell.
Huffman was arrested Wednesday after Sheriff’s Deputy Mike Billingsley “checked a vehicle occupied by a male and a female parked at Clear Creek Church on County Road 301 in Alcorn County” at around 11:30 p.m., a sheriff’s office news release states.
Huffman was found to have a warrant for failure to appear and was arrested on the warrant, the release adds. The deputy also discovered that the female passenger was under 14 years old.
“After an investigation by Chief Investigator Heath Thomas, it was discovered that Huffman had met the female victim and they had sexual intercourse,” the news release states.
