Edward Stafford Knight Sr., 80, died Thursday November 29, 2018 at Allegiance Specialty Hospital in Greenville, MS. after an extended illness and complications from stomach cancer.
Stafford was a 1962 graduate of Mississippi State University with a B.S. degree in Banking and Finance. He received his Master’s degree from the University of Mississippi in Municipal Planning. He served his country as a First lieutenant, Airborne Ranger until 1964
He was preceded in death by his parents, Eddie and Dorothy Knight.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Betty Knight; sons, Edward Knight, Preston Knight his wife Alesha; grandchildren Emma Knight and Olivia Knight all of Corinth.
Graveside service will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 8, 2018 at Henry Cemetery. (If inclement weather service will be held at McPeters Inc. Funeral Directors.)
