The name of the suspect in a Sunday stabbing has been confirmed, and the alleged victim has been released from the hospital.

Sheriff Ben Caldwell said the suspect is Harold Ray Ramsey, 61, of Corinth, who has been charged with aggravated assault.

Ramsey is being held without bond, according to Alcorn County Justice Court.

Below is the original story:

A male was stabbed in a fight Sunday afternoon at an Alcorn County residence, according to Sheriff Ben Caldwell.

The male who was stabbed was transported to Magnolia Regional Health Center, and his condition was unknown Sunday night. The suspect was arrested at the residence and transported to the Alcorn County Jail.

Deputies responded to the fight around 3:30 p.m. at the 45 County Road 718 residence, Caldwell added. It was discovered that two males had been involved in an altercation in the yard.

During the fight, one of the males pulled a knife and stabbed the other male,” a sheriff’s office news release said.

The males involved in the fight did not live at the residence, Caldwell noted.

The investigation is ongoing.
