Services for Mrs. Carolyn J. Downs, 68, will be 2 pm Tuesday, December 4, 2018, at New Life Church of Jesus Christ, 400 North Lake St. in Booneville, Mississippi. with Brother Melvin Harrison and Shelby Crum officiating.
Interment will be in Liberty Memorial Cemetery, Booneville. Visitation will be 6 pm until 9 pm, Monday, Dec. 3. and from noon until service time.
She passed this life Saturday, December 1, 2018, at Cornerstone Health and Rehab in Corinth.
Mrs. Downs was born in Pontotoc County, Mississippi, on October 2, 1950, to Henry and Maxine Russell Tackett. She was a homemaker and a member of the non-denominational church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Curtis Downs, one brother, William “Pete” Tackett and his wife Louise, and one brother-in-law, Herb Tennison.
Those to carry on her memory includes: her daughters: Lisa Crum, and her husband Shelby of Corinth and Lori Robbins of Booneville, one brother, James “Bud” Tackett of Booneville, three sisters: Rachel Tennison, Donna Kay Ridge and her husband Dale, Anita Holloway and her husband Ray all of Boonville, her grandchildren: Justin Lambert, Tyler Downs and wife Kayla, Hyvin Anderson and husband Shaye, and Jaycee Tutor, and her great-grandchildren: Ava Mae Downs, Kinsley Faith Downs, Johnna Adams, and Peyton Anderson.
