The Fellowship of Christian Athletes at Alcorn Central High School participated in Operation Christmas Child for the third year in a row.

FCA President John Mask along with other FCA officers and representatives organized the event. FCA Sponsor Mallory Hamlin McPhail encouraged students and teachers to get involved.

Classes gave hygiene items, school supplies, clothing and “wow” items, and the class with the most items won a pizza party.

The Alcorn Central FCA packed 104 Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes after collecting items in October and November.

“Everyone stepped it up this year and out did themselves,” Mask said. “As a community we collected 3,906 individual shoeboxes. That is exactly 3,906 lives that will be forever changed.”

Mask thanks everyone who donated their time and money to the project.
