The condition of a man injured in a Wednesday shooting in Corinth has improved, according to a hospital spokesman.
Demarcus Tipler’s condition was upgraded one level from the most severe status of “critical” to “serious,” a spokesman from Regional One Health in Memphis said Friday.
After the condition status of “serious,” the next levels are “fair” and “good.”
Tipler was injured in a shooting at the intersection of Wick and Young streets less than a mile from Corinth Elementary School. Blood was on a car and on the road after the shooting, which occurred around 11:30 a.m. Wednesday.
The suspect, Sammie Turnage, 26, turned himself in to the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office on Thursday.
