Corinth Shooting Suspect Turns Self In at Marshall County Sheriff’s Office

The suspect in the Wednesday shooting in Corinth has turned himself in to the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office, Corinth Police Department Detective Capt. Dell Green said Thursday just before 5 p.m.

Sammie Turnage, 26, is the suspect in the shooting that occurred at about 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at the intersection of Wick and Young streets, less than one mile from Corinth Elementary School.

The victim, Demarcus Tipler, is listed in critical condition at Regional One Health in Memphis, a hospital spokeswoman said late Thursday afternoon.
