Occurred on County Road 500 in Alcorn County
A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle on County Road 500 Saturday night in Alcorn County, according to an official.
The pedestrian was airlifted to the hospital in Tupelo, said Southwest Volunteer Fire Department Chief Kerry Cummings.
The driver stayed on the scene after the pedestrian was struck, Cummings added.
Emergency responders were dispatched to the scene at 11:43 p.m.
The vehicle’s windshield was heavily damaged.
The Alcorn County Sheriff’s Office and Magnolia Ambulance also responded to the scene.
