A 49-year-old Corinth man was recently arrested on an armed robbery charge, police said.
Carlton Marshall was arrested Sept. 8, which was the same day the alleged armed robbery was reported, said Corinth Police Detective Sgt. Jerry Rogers.
A husband and wife who live at Country Lane Apartments on Proper Street reported that they had been robbed at gunpoint, said Rogers.
Police obtained a description of the suspect and his vehicle, and Marshall was arrested about an hour later after a traffic stop conducted by the Farmington Police Department, Rogers said.
The alleged victims said $526 in cash was taken and that the suspect had a small black handgun, Rogers added.
Neither the cash nor the handgun were found in Marshall’s custody, Rogers noted.
