A celebration of life for Wanda Lee Cornelius, 72, of Corinth, is set for Saturday, August 4, 2018 at 2:00 PM at Strickland Church of Christ with interment to follow at Forrest Memorial Park.
Visitation will be Friday, August 3, 2018 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Magnolia Funeral Home and Saturday, August 4, 2018 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Strickland Church of Christ.
Wanda was born December 30, 1945 to Julius Harmon Spencer and Arnie Morrow Spencer and passed away August 1, 2018. She was a member of Strickland Church of Christ where she enjoyed attending services. Wanda loved cooking – especially for her grandchildren, working in the garden and fishing.
Those left to honor her memory include her sons: Joey Cornelius and wife Roxanne of Rienzi, MS and Brian Cornelius and wife Amy of Corinth, MS; brothers: Jerry Spencer and wife Linda of Michie, TN, Danny Spencer and wife Judy of Starkville, MS and Stevie Spencer of Columbus, MS; sisters: Dorothy Smith and husband Hershel of Corinth, MS, Mary Gant and husband Tom of Corinth, MS, Cathy Nash and husband Randal of Rienzi, MS and Lynn Carmack and husband Dennis of Collierville, TN; grandchildren: Justin Cornelius and Taylor Cornelius; sister-in-law: Mary Spencer of Corinth, MS and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years: Clifford Cornelius; parents: Julius Harmon Spencer and Arnie Morrow Spencer; brother: Bill Spencer and Elzie Spencer; sister: Shirley Rowland. Minster Brad Dillingham and David Nowell will be officiating the service. Pallbearers will be Tim Smith, Justin Smith, Ethan Smith, Tom Gant, Mike Coln and Ronnie Arnold.
