Whether customers want to buy recreational property, a house in the country or farm equipment, Mississippi Land Bank in Corinth can make their dreams come true.

Vice President and Branch Manager Dustin Lambert and his team of loan administrators have 85 years of combined experience in the banking industry.

Mississippi Land Bank’s roots go back more than 100 years, and it is part of the nationwide Farm Credit System.

It is also a financial cooperative, which allows borrowers to have ownership in the company. Mississippi Land Bank serves more than 30 counties in Mississippi, and the Corinth branch is focused on Alcorn, Prentiss, Tippah and Tishomingo counties.

Mississippi Land Bank offers loans to purchase rural homes, hunting/recreational property, equipment and many other assets.

Land is a great asset for people to have in their portfolios, whether it is a weekend getaway in the country, hunting or fishing property or farmland, said Lambert. Moreover, it is an investment people can enjoy with their families and pass down from one generation to the next.

“We serve everybody from the full-time farmer to the hobby farmer,” said Lambert, who has worked in the banking industry almost 20 years.

Northeast Mississippi has a diverse selection of property, including hills, bottomland, timber and farmland, Lambert noted.

Loan-processing efficiency is a big advantage for Mississippi Land Bank, which does its own appraisals in-house. This speeds up the loan process, and one of the company’s appraisers is a registered forester.

Mississippi Land Bank also offers personable service in a comfortable atmosphere. The Corinth branch has the feel of a country home with artwork depicting the rural lifestyle displayed.

There are also many loan options with flexible payments, ranging from monthly to annual depending on the loan purpose and the time line of the borrower’s revenue stream. Mississippi Land Bank will tailor a loan package to meet the customers’ needs.

Borrowers can also set up a capital spending account with Mississippi Land Bank, which will pay interest on funds that are held to make property improvements.

A unique aspect of Mississippi Land Bank is that borrowers can receive a share of the company’s profits in certain years, which can help offset interest rates. Fixed-rate loan terms range from one to 30 years. Borrowers can also get $250 if they refer a friend who does business with the bank.

The Corinth branch is one of six full-time Mississippi Land Bank locations serving more than 30 counties. The Corinth branch, 2101 Highway 72 E., can even make loans in neighboring Tennessee counties. It is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and can be reached at or online at www.mslandbank.com.
