Residents Can Donate Blood on Behalf of Emergency Responders

People can donate blood on behalf of emergency responders during the Battle of the Badges blood drive Thursday and Friday in Corinth, July 26-27.

The agency with the most blood donations made in its name will be declared the winner of the Battle of the Badges.

Donations can be made between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. Thursday and Friday.

The Mississippi Blood Services donor coaches will be at the Corinth Police Department and Alcorn County Sheriff’s Department, 2837 South Harper Road, both days.

Donors will receive a T-shirt.

The Corinth Police Department won the Battle of the Badges last year, and the sheriff’s office won in 2016.

Mississippi Blood Services is giving away $1,000 weekly to a donor through Aug. 18.

Donors who are 16 and 17-years-old must have signed parental consent, and the form can be obtained at msblood.com.
