Plans are underway to expand a Corinth medical clinic owned by Magnolia Regional Health Center.
The MRHC Board of Trustees last month authorized hospital President and CEO Ronny Humes to hire an architect to assist with the expansion plan.
The clinic to be expanded is Magnolia Family Medical Practice, formerly the Pratt Clinic, off South Harper Road.
The expansion is needed because the clinic plans to add more doctors and staff in the next few years.
“Through recruitment efforts, we have identified four primary care physicians who will join Dr. Pratt in the next three years,” Humes said in a statement.
Construction is expected to begin next summer and take six months to complete.
“We are currently engaged with the architect to determine how much space will be added,” Humes noted.
