City Judge Ross to Retire, Replacement Sought

By Josh Mitchell/Corinth Today

City Court Judge John C. Ross is retiring, said city Attorney Wendell Trapp Jr.

The Corinth Board of Aldermen held a special meeting Friday to discuss the judge’s retirement and plans to find a replacement.

The city is soliciting letters of interest for the job, and the letters must be submitted by June 27.

The aldermen plan to put an interim judge in place until a permanent replacement can be appointed.

Trapp said an effort will be made to find an attorney to fill the judgeship.
