Corinth Man Indicted on Arson, Aggravated Assault Charges

Staff reports

A 38-year-old Corinth man has been indicted on charges of arson and aggravated assault, court documents show.

The indictments filed in Alcorn County Circuit Court allege that Amon Lepic Patterson, of County Road 200, burned or caused to burn Leland David Keenum’s home on July 10, 2017.

Patterson was also indicted on the charge of aggravated assault. The indictment alleges that Patterson attempted to cause “serious bodily injury” to Keenum by “recklessly manifesting extreme indifference to the value of human life.”

The date of the alleged aggravated assault is the same as the arson charge.
