Mrs. May Dixon, age 79, of Corinth, passed from this life on Thursday, May 31, 2018. A Celebration of her life is scheduled for Sunday, June 3, 2018, 2 PM, at the Theo Holiness Church, Highway 72 W, Corinth, Mississippi. Bro. Ronald Wilbanks and Bro. Junior Dixon will officiate the service. Her family will receive guests on Saturday, June 2, from 5 – 8 PM at the church and from noon until service time on Sunday.
Born on April 29, 1939, in New York, New York, to George and Georgina Linzmeyer Sporing, Mrs. Dixon, was a homemaker. Besides spending time with her family, she worshipped at Theo Holiness Church and enjoyed playing bingo.
Waiting to greet her as she stepped into Heaven were her parents, brothers: George Sporing, Johnny Sporing, and Alan Sporing; and sisters: Jeannie O’Brien and Margie McNamara.
Joining in the celebration of her life will be her three sons: Harold Dixon (Kathy) of Walnut, Mississippi, Kevin Dixon (Tabatha) of Ashland, Tennessee, and Kenny Dixon (Tina) of Tallahassee, Florida; her three daughters: Cindy Tarver (Mike) of Cleveland, Mississippi, Dorothy “Dee” Dixon of Tallahassee, and Cheryl Regna of Tallahassee. She leaves ten grandchildren: Wendy Nielson, Dawn Fiveash, Kimberly Fielding, Jennifer Giles, Samantha Jordan, Haley Jordan, Anthony Regna, Chris Regna, Johnna Eleganta, Keith Dixon, Richard Dixon and Lacy Eaton; nine great-grandchildren: Hunter Fiveash, John Tyler Fiveash, Samantha Nielson, Adam Fielding, Camille Eaton, D J Eaton, Brayden Giles, Landon Giles, and Ella Rae Giles. She is survived by a host of nieces and nephews whom she dearly loved and special brother-in-laws: Gene McNamara, Junior Dixon (Bonnie) and R. L. Dixon.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Theo Holiness Church.
