Four ACHS Seniors Make Northeast Dance Team

Four Alcorn Central High School seniors recently made the dance team at Northeast Mississippi Community College.

Kaylyn Lavender, Serenity Rorie, Preslee Sartain and Mallie Kate Williams will be on the sidelines in the fall as Northeast Tiger Dancers.

They will receive a $787 scholarship.

While in high school, Lavender cheered for three years and danced for one year. She plans to major in biology at Northeast.

Rorie danced for three years in high school and plans to major in biology.

Sartain cheered for two years and danced for two years and plans to enter the medical field.

Williams, who cheered for one year and danced for three years, will major in psychology.

The girls were coached by teachers Amy Smith and Ginger Williams

Jarrad Robinson serves as athletic director.
