Mother-daughter team Ginger Dillinger and Meredith King each bring valuable perspectives and expertise to the insurance business.
As co-owners of Crossroads Insurance Services, 2045 E. Shiloh Road, Corinth, they are licensed agents in Mississippi and Tennessee.
They are also independent agents, which means they are not beholden, or “held captive,” to one insurance company, they said. As independent agents, they objectively evaluate products from many different insurance companies to serve the best interests of their clients, they added.
King said she and her mom are able to offer insurance perspectives from two different generations.
Dillinger helps many clients with Medicare supplements and Part D plans while King assists people with life, dental, vision, hearing and health coverage. Crossroads Insurance Services also offers plans to cover heart attacks and cancer and provides long-term care insurance.
No matter what generation a client comes from, health insurance can be complicated. Crossroads Insurance Services prides itself on being very service oriented. The business offers seminars and education sessions and also has a blog on its website to keep people up to date on the latest insurance changes.
Dillinger started an insurance company in the ’90s after she got laid off from 30 years of factory work. King grew up around the insurance business and worked as an independent agent in Knoxville, Tenn. after graduating from Ole Miss. King has also worked in other fields that have been valuable to her career in insurance, including pharmacy, banking and payroll/accounting.
After working in Knoxville, King returned to her hometown of Corinth, where Dillinger also grew up. Mother and daughter decided to join forces and relocated their office from U.S. Highway 72 to a more permanent location on East Shiloh Road. Since then, the agency has “grown so fast,” King noted.
They really enjoy working together and have the same goal of giving clients the best service.
The word “Crossroads” in the business’ name not only refers to Corinth’s Civil War moniker but also to the fact that the owners are Christian, Dillinger said. And the word “Services” in the name emphasizes that helping clients is their main focus.
In fact, many of the people they have helped with insurance questions are not even clients.
“We are very service-driven here,” King said. “We do a lot of free education.”
They strive to be a resource for anyone and guide people to the right place even if it is to another business, they added. That high level of service comes back to Crossroads Insurance Services in the form of much referral business.
King said she and her mom just believe in doing the right thing. God is going to bless that, she added.
They also work around clients’ schedules by meeting afterhours and even video conferencing if needed. Crossroads Insurance Services enjoys helping people easily navigate insurance options to make sure they are covered.
