Meth Seized After Gunfire Report, Police Say

Corinth Police seized more than 20 grams of methamphetamine after responding to a report of gunfire, an official said.
Corinth Police responded to Corinth Inn & Suites on U.S. Highway 72 West on April 23 at about 11 a.m. after someone reported that a male shot at a vehicle leaving the hotel, said Corinth Police Detective Capt. Dell Green.
Police went to a hotel room occupied by Charles John Bray, 28, of Corinth, and saw paraphernalia, Green said. The police narcotics unit conducted a search and found approximately 24 grams of methamphetamine, two handguns, and a half gram of cocaine, Green said.
Bray, also known as C.J., was charged with felon in possession of a firearm, possession of controlled substance (meth), and possession of controlled substance (cocaine).
Bray was also on probation and therefore had a hold placed on him by the Mississippi Department of Corrections, Green added.
The vehicle that was allegedly fired at never returned to the scene, and no victim’s report was filed on that matter, Green said.
