Two Dead in Farmington Shooting, Sheriff Says

Two people were pronounced dead at the scene of a shooting Monday afternoon in Farmington, according to Alcorn County Sheriff Ben Caldwell.

A third person was also shot and transported to Magnolia Regional Health Center in critical condition, Caldwell said.

The sheriff’s office and the Farmington Police Department responded to a report of a shooting at the Farmington School Apartments, 4160 County Road 200, at around 5:45 p.m. Monday, the sheriff said.

Caldwell said he will release further details when he can.
