Person of Interest Sought in Connection With Triple Shooting

Staff reports

Authorities are seeking a “person of interest” in a Monday triple shooting in Farmington, Alcorn County Sheriff Ben Caldwell said.

No arrests have been made in the shooting, which left two people dead and sent a third gunshot victim to Magnolia Regional Health Center in Corinth in critical condition, Caldwell noted.

The sheriff’s office and the Farmington Police Department responded to a report of a shooting at the Farmington School Apartments, 4160 County Road 200, at around 5:45 p.m. Monday, the sheriff said.

Two people were pronounced dead at the scene, the sheriff said.

Caldwell said he will release further details when he can.
