Person Airlifted After Motorcycle, SUV Wreck

A person was airlifted Thursday after a crash involving a motorcycle and an SUV on U.S. Highway 72 East in the Corinth city limits.

The crash was reported at around noon on the highway in front of Dirt Cheap.

Air Evac initially tried to land in the shopping center, but then decided to land a short distance away at the J.B. Combs apartments next to Taco Bell off of Cass Street.

The SUV had rear bumper damage, and the motorcycle was moved to a parking lot.

Numerous people took pictures with cellphones and watched officials respond to the scene.

Corinth Police kept traffic flowing throughout the incident, but some motorists slowed down to look at the wreck.

Corinth Fire and Magnolia Ambulance also responded to the scene.

Further details were not immediately available.

The wreck occurred on U.S. Highway 72 East by Dirt Cheap. An SUV had rear bumper damage, and the motorcycle was moved to a parking lot.
