A 29-year-old Corinth woman has been charged with felony embezzlement, police said.
Approximately $1,200 was allegedly taken from a local pet store, said Detective Capt. Dell Green.
Lindsey Crabb of County Road 716 was questioned by authorities and arrested this week, Green added.
Corinth Police recently received a report that an employee of a Corinth pet store may have taken money from the business, Green said.
Police investigated the case and identified Crabb as the suspect.
Officials are also looking into alleged false returns that were possibly made to the store, Green said.
The case was investigated by Corinth Police Detective Jerry Rogers and will be presented to a grand jury.
Allegations in the case appear to go back several months.
Crabb has bonded out of Alcorn County Jail.
