MHP Welcomes Two New Troopers From Alcorn County

The Mississippi Highway Patrol has welcomed two new state troopers from Alcorn County.

Biggersville residents Cody Ryan McGee and Darrell McNair recently completed the 19-week Mississippi Highway Patrol Class at the state Law Enforcement Officers’ Training Academy in Pearl.

They completed intensive training in driving, firearms, defensive tactics, traffic law, active shooter, DUI detection and accident investigations. They also passed a rigorous physical fitness program.

Trooper McGee will be assigned to Prentiss County, and Trooper McNair will be assigned to Tippah County.

Trooper McGee is the son of Judge Jimmy and Cathy McGee of Corinth. He is a 2006 graduate of Biggersville High School and was previously employed at Magnolia Regional Health Center as an EMT. He is married to the former Courtney Vaughn of Booneville, and they reside in the Biggersville community with their two children.

Trooper McNair is the son of Jeff and Wanda McNair of Biggersville. He is a 2001 graduate of Biggersville High School and was previously employed at Kimberly-Clark in Corinth. He is married to the former Jill Vinson of Corinth, and they reside in the Biggersville community with their three children.

    Todd Davis, also from Alcorn County, joined too. He graduated the same day those two gentlemen graduated.
