Tricia Kuykendall learned the meaning of quality workmanship at a young age.

Kuykendall, owner of Tricia’s Design Gallery, 2017 E. Shiloh Road, Corinth, explained that her dad was a local carpenter who helped build houses in the community. She still talks to people today who bring up the fact that her dad helped build their home.

Her dad took great pride in his work. His positive example influenced Kuykendall’s business, which offers products and services to improve every room of a home or business.

Kuykendall specializes in flooring, countertops, showers, window coverings, design services and many other areas. Customers can browse many different styles and brands of products in the showroom at Tricia’s Design Gallery.

(See a photo gallery below of some of her completed projects).

The joy shown by clients at the completion of a project is her favorite part of the field. No job is too small, and she has options for every budget. For instance, someone may want to add a glass stone mosaic backsplash in a kitchen.

Projects can include new construction, remodels or updating a house for resale, and cost estimates are free. Many of her customers are repeat clients, and she starts a project with a consultation to find out what inspires the person. Some may want a modern look while others may like something more rustic or traditional.

She knew from the time she was in high school that she wanted to be an interior designer. She has an interior design degree from Ole Miss and has worked in the field more than 30 years. She started out working for a local family flooring company and opened Tricia’s Design Gallery close to 15 years ago.

“Timeless and classic” plantation shutters made of solid wood and composite materials are popular, she noted. Plantation shutters can increase the value of a home or business, and she offers custom sizes. Tricia’s Design Gallery also offers custom drapery, including curtains, bedding and upholstery fabric. It obtains the measurements for the client and also provides installation.

Graber solar shades are another great option because they can block UV rays from entering a room but at the same time allow the people on the inside to see out and not let others see in. These are becoming more popular for homes and businesses especially since the solar shades come in fashionable textures and colors. The solar shades also insulate rooms, and she has installed some with remote controls at Pickwick Lake.

Many nationally recognized brands of granite, quartz and natural stone countertops, hardwood and waterproof laminate flooring, luxury vinyl tile, porcelain and ceramic tile, carpet, brick pavers and area rugs are also on display. She guides clients on the best flooring based on factors such as durability whether there are pets. Some other brand names include American Olean, Mohawk, Shaw, Interceramic and Marazzi.

She has quality installers who work around clients’ schedules. Tricia’s Design Gallery also has a retail area with picture frames, lamps, tables, paintings, accent furniture and other accessories.

Tricia’s Design Gallery is open Monday-Friday from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and on Saturday by appointment. The business can be reached at (662) 287-7676 and on Facebook by clicking here.
