Authorities responded to a two-vehicle crash on U.S. Highway 45 in Alcorn County on Friday at around 11:45 a.m., Biggersville Fire & Rescue Chief Jonathan Rider said.

A woman was transported to Magnolia Regional Health Center in Corinth with what appeared to be minor injuries. It appeared her vehicle was coming off of County Road 514 when the collision occurred.

The other vehicle involved in the crash was a pickup truck, which was pulling a trailer and headed south on U.S. 45, Rider said.

The woman’s car apparently came into contact with the trailer, and the pickup truck driver was not injured, the chief added.

The woman in the car was wearing her seatbelt, and the airbag deployed. She was the only person in the car, Rider said.

The Alcorn County Sheriff’s Office, the Mississippi Highway Patrol and Magnolia EMS also responded with Biggersville Fire & Rescue.
