The Corinth Fire Department responded to a house fire at 1524 Tate St. on Saturday at about 7 p.m.

The fire was basically contained to the living room area, which sustained serious damage, said Corinth Fire Department Capt. Johnny Butler.

No one was injured in the fire, which was reported by someone in the area. Flames were coming out the front and side windows, Butler said.

The cause of the fire was unknown.

Firefighters attacked the blaze from the rear of the house and pushed the fire out the front. The fire department quickly had the blaze under control.

The house was located near the intersection of Young and Tate streets, a short distance west of Crossroads Regional Park.

The Corinth Police Department and ACE Power also assisted at the scene.
