An Alcorn County woman who allegedly shot her husband has been charged with aggravated domestic violence, according to Alcorn County Sheriff Ben Caldwell.
The suspect, Brittanie N. Fletcher, 31, allegedly shot her husband in the upper abdomen area at a residence on County Road 749, a sheriff’s office news release said. The man was in stable condition at Magnolia Regional Health Center in Corinth.
Alcorn County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the hospital at around 1:40 p.m. Monday in reference to a man with a gunshot wound. Deputies also responded to the County Road 749 residence and determined that Fletcher allegedly fired the shot, the release added.
Fletcher, whose address is on County Road 749, was arrested and charged with aggravated domestic violence. She was being held Wednesday in the Alcorn County Jail on a $30,000 bond.
