Officials responded to a one-vehicle rollover crash on County Road 515 in Biggersville a short distance off of U.S. Highway 45 at about 7 p.m. Saturday.

A man, woman and 4-year-old child were in the vehicle and did not appear to be seriously injured, said Kerry Cummings with Biggersville Fire & Rescue. However, the woman and child were transported by ambulance to Magnolia Regional Health Center, Cummings added.

It appeared the SUV was headed east down a hill on County Road 515 when the driver lost control, Cummings said. The vehicle went off the road and landed on its passenger side at the edge of a wooded area.

The road conditions were wet after steady rain throughout the day and evening Saturday.

The Alcorn County Sheriff’s Office also responded in addition to Biggersville Fire & Rescue and Magnolia Ambulance.

The vehicle landed on its side by the edge of the woods.
