Services for Minnie Gallman Ulmer will be held on Thursday, January 25, 2018, at 2 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church EPC in Corinth with Dr. Don Elliott officiating.
A visitation will be held in the church fellowship hall for one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at Henry Cemetery. McPeters Funeral Directors of Corinth is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Ulmer, 98, died on Sunday, January 21, 2018, at Bright Glade Nursing Home in Memphis, TN. She was born in Crystal Springs, MS on July 23, 1919.
Mrs. Ulmer was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Corinth for over fifty years, serving in many capacities throughout the years. She was a former officer of the Corinth Garden Club, treasurer of the Shakespeare Club for ten years, member of two bridge clubs, and a former member of the Corinth Theatre Arts Council.
Mrs. Ulmer received the Paul Harris Fellowship award from the Corinth Rotary Club in 1984 after being hostess for ten years. She was named Rotarian of the Year for 2006-2007. She was a member of the Corinth Music Club, LaSalle Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, the Hospital Auxiliary, a life member of the Corinth Junior Auxiliary, and conducted the story hour for the Corinth Library for many years.
Survivors include two daughters, Cindy Bronson (Larry) and Ann Andrews (Scott); grandchildren: Kim Shirley (David) and Mark Wheeler (Stephanie); and four great-grandchildren: Makenzie Wheeler, Madison Shirley, Brayden Wheeler, and Marabelle Shirley.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Rivers, parents Lena and Luke Ward Gallman, and her two brothers, Ward and Hubert Gallman.
Pallbearers will be Mark Wheeler, Larry Bronson, Scott Andrews, David Shirley, Jim Ulmer, Jeff Ulmer and Leroy Worsham.
