Stabbing Reported Tuesday in Corinth

By Josh Mitchell/Corinth Today

Corinth Police responded to a report of a stabbing on North Cass Street on Tuesday night around 11 p.m., a detective said.

An adult male said an unidentified assailant stabbed him in the chest area with an unknown object as he walked back to an apartment, said Corinth Police Detective Michael Suitor.

The victim said he did not know who stabbed him because it was so dark, according to Suitor.

The injury was not life threatening, but the victim was transported by ambulance to Magnolia Regional Health Center, the detective said.

The victim apparently went inside the apartment after he was stabbed, and his girlfriend called emergency services, Suitor said.

The weapon was not recovered, and the victim was apparently by himself when the incident occurred.
